FAQ'S

Arrival Time and Coverage:

I will be with you typically for up to 10 hours from prep to party. I arrive two hours before the ceremony time to capture venue shots and preparations. If both of your preparations are at the same location I can capture parts of both. If you would like full coverage of both preparations we can chat about adding a second videographer to your package. I go on to the ceremony 20-30 mins before the start time to capture guest arrivals and get set up. I also cover reception drinks, your details and decor, immediate family group photo sessions, portrait session, wedding breakfast (apart from eating), speeches, first dance and of course, the party!

My Style:

I am a relaxed and discrete videographer, allowing the moments to happen naturally as the day unfolds. I won’t direct the day but instead, stand back and capture all the special elements as they happen. My main aim is that you don’t think about me when you look back on your day. Your film should be an honest and beautiful depiction of you as a couple and your wedding day, bringing all the feelings and memories back to life. Not comfortable in front of the camera? Not a problem, I won’t direct you or ask you to do anything that doesn’t represent you as a couple.

Solo Shooting:

As a non obtrusive videographer I am completely present in every moment on your day. I always collaborate with your photographer to get the best visuals of the day, it is really important to match your photographer and videographer’s style of capturing the day. I handle 99% of weddings solo, however if your wedding has a lot of elements or locations than usual, a second videographer can be discussed.

My Kit:

I am a proud Fujifilm user and I film across three 4K cameras for the ceremony and speeches, this the only time I will use tripods to capture multiple angles. The rest of the day I film handheld with cameras that have in-built stabilisation so that I can film as discreetly as possible and react quickly to all the special moments. I aim to fit in just like our photographer with the ability to roam around so you and your guests feel comfortable.

Audio:

I use professional audio devices which easily and discreetly clip on to clothing before the ceremony and speeches and any special moments such as announcements throughout the day. These files are then synchronised with the footage from the cameras to bring depth and quality to the films. I also use ambient audio such as cheering, laughing to help with the story of each part of the day. The film will have music throughout and I hand pick the ambient audio as an addition to the music.

Music:

Music is used to set the tone of the day rather than being a main feature.

I use a licensed library of music to allow for online sharing. I mainly use music without lyrics so that you are not distracted from the footage and words spoken.

Drone Coverage:

I try not to over-use aerial footage as it is a subtle elevation to the film which helps with building the story of your day. I arrive early to capture aerial shots of the location/venue before I attend your preparations. This is carried out at your primary wedding location. If there is a time restriction, a drone operator can be added to your package. Drone flying is subject to location and weather restrictions. In adverse weather conditions I may have footage of the location from previous weddings to be used in your film but I will endeavour to overcome weather issues on the day where possible.

Insurance:

I have two separate insurances and public liability for my business and for drone coverage. I am covered for up to £10 million which is standard for most venues but can be increased on request.

The Booking Process:

The booking fee is £300, which secures your date firmly in my diary. There is also an in-depth questionnaire to fill out for your schedule and timings which we will go through during a pre-wedding call/zoom around one month before your wedding day. The pre-wedding call is also a chance for us to get acquainted, chat through ideas and share details of how I work.

The Documentary Edit:

The documentary edit is all the raw footage in a non-cinematic video. A great keepsake to see all the footage in full from prep to party. The individual clips are trimmed to create a watchable playback of your day. I always shoot tons of clips of the day so there will be plenty of parts which didn’t make the Final Cut.

The edit includes location/venue details, full preparation, arrivals, some snippets of the ceremony for continuity, reception drinks, lots of guest footage, portrait session, family photo session, decor, your guests and you enjoying the wedding breakfast, the full first dance and lots of party shots. The documentary edit is colour graded and licensed music is applied for online sharing.

What my couples say about me:

Lauren & Tom

“I just wanted to say a big thank you for our stunning video, you captured all the emotion of the day, I felt like I was back there again!

All of the videos are so perfect, even the background music you use just fits with our day perfectly and adds even more emotion. For someone who doesn’t cry much, I cannot hold back the tears watching our videos, they are just so perfect!

I am so grateful I found you and were able to book you for our day. You were the first supplier I knew I needed for my wedding! And I will tell absolutely everyone about your work is truly magical.”

Sophie & Grant

“We just wanted to say such a huge, huge thank you for the film. You delivered over and above what we ever could have expected. Words really cannot describe how beautiful it is. You captured the day perfectly, and we cannot wait to keep watching it over and over and hopefully show it to our children one day! There will definitely be tears shed every single time we watch it!

You managed to catch so many moments that make my heart smile, seeing them played back the kids playing, people laughing, the beauty of our flowers, just everything!!

You are so, so, so, so talented, and we are unbelievably grateful you were there on the day, you kept me so much calmer in the morning, and having you there with us just felt like having an extra friend!

My number one tip for any friends getting married from now on is to get a videographer, preferably you!! It was worth every penny and more— We really hope our paths cross again one day!”

Roxanne & Adam

“Our one year wedding anniversary just passed, and upon reflection we decided that a videographer at your wedding is a MUST HAVE, but more specifically, Sian is a MUST HAVE!! No joke, her work is magic. I truly (madly) don’t know how she captures and edits with such finesse and emotional depth. 11/10!!!”

“We have just finished watching our wedding video, and we are absolutely blown away! The way you captured every precious moment and emotion is truly magical. It’s like reliving our wedding day all over again, and it brought tears to our eyes.

We are so grateful for the effort and dedication you put into this video. It is something we will cherish for the rest of our lives and will be excited to share with family and friends for years to come. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts…”

YOUR WEDDING, YOUR ADVENTURE - CAPTURED FOREVER...

I absolutely loved working with Sian! Not only is she SO kind and brings amazing, calming energy, but she has an incredible creative eye. I have no idea how she captured so many beautiful moments. She also turned around the teaser and videos of the ceremony/speeches so quickly!! Can't wait to see the full one soon 🙂 10/10 recommend!!! Thank you, Sian!!

I can’t recommend Sian enough! Her work is absolutely amazing. She is so lovely and friendly and fitted in with us all so well. You would even know Sian was videoing the whole day it’s so clever how she does and I can’t thank her enough for being part of our day 😍

by Keara Bailey

Sian was recommended to us by our wedding photographer and we are so glad we were able to work with her for our micro-wedding earlier this year. She captured the day perfectly and the finished product was absolutely stunning. Not even ashamed to admit her work brought a tear to my eye! Would highly recommend!
